A donation or bequest to Age Concern Manchester will help to make
sure that older people in the most deprived parts of the City have
someone to turn to when they need help and support.
To make a donation
Any cash donation, whatever its size, makes a difference to our
ability to improve the life of Manchester’s older people.
Whether it's £1 or you add noughts, it's always welcome.
Cheques and postal orders should be sent to our Swan Buildings office, addressed to Ray Gridley, Chief Officer, and marked private and confidential.
If you pay tax at the standard rate or above, you can increase the
value of your donation to us by printing off the Gift Aid form from our download section
and
sending it in with your cheque or postal order. It will not affect
the amount of tax you pay, it just means we can claim an extra 28 pence from the government for every pound you donate.
Alternatively, you can make a donation online. We use a secure and trustworthy company, Charity Choice in association with The Co-operative Bank, to administer all online donations. Please click the button below.

To make a pledge
We particularly welcome regular donations by standing order through
your bank. To arrange this, please send an enquiry to our Head Office here, or by post to Swan Buildings. And, again, by printing off and sending in the Gift Aid
form you will allow us to claim tax relief.
To leave a bequest or donations in memory
One of the most effective ways of supporting older people is to
remember us in your Will. Your solicitor will be able to help you
set up a bequest, which can be property, goods, or a cash sum. An independent solicitor calls regularly at our Head Office. To enquire about making an appointment, please email our advocacy team.
You can ask in your Will that, instead of flowers at your funeral
you would prefer your friends and family to make a donation in your
memory to Age Concern Manchester. And you can make a donation in
memory of a friend or member of your family who you know would appreciate
the making of such a gift.
We would like your shares
There are tax incentives to make share giving more attractive.
Put simply you can claim tax relief equal to the market value of
the shares on the day you make your gift, together with any associated
costs such as broker’s fees. The relief is set against your
income tax for that year. To find out more about these schemes and other ways of giving to support our work in helping older
people in Manchester please email
us or call our office on 0161 833 3944.
